Kindergarten Center - Precious Old Forest
For years residents in Phoenixville, PA have used the Kindergarten Center as a little town park. The 7.4 acres of grassy fields and mature hardwood forest was recently sold by the School District to Toll Brothers, a luxury high-density developer. Locals are urging the town to set aside the land as a park in keeping with the comprehensive plan to include “parks, trails, and open spaces accessible by walking and transit”. Phoenixville is already densely populated. The Kindergarten Center is one of the few bits of public open space left.
