What will become of this marshy little pond and the life it supports? There aren't many places in Tucson with year-round water. This one is on the Pima Wash floodplain in Quail Canyon, just east of Oracle Road and south of Rudasill. If a developer gets a pass on the current zoning, it will be next to a parking lot and part of a neighborhood with 120 two-story houses and 7 three-story apartment buildings. Or, if the money was there, it could be protected in a public park for everyone to experience.
