The largest desert tortoise I've ever seen lies hibernating under a ground-hugging overhang on the other side of the big boulder furthest into the frame.
The last warm light of day lights up the orange -toned volcanic rock of Panther Peak and the nearby ridges in Saguaro National Park (West Unit). From my roof. I guess you could call it alpinglow but its certainly not alpine.
