I set up my tripod on slope of Panther in the Tucson Mountains in Saguaro National Park to photograph this interesting saguaro cactus in the fog. As I looked through the viewfinder the fog cleared to reveal this false summit of Panther Peak.

While driving into town I looked in my side mirror and saw this double rainbow forming. I was lucky to find a spot where I could photograph it over Panther Peak from my van roof. But the lens I had at the time wasn't wide enough to capture the outer rainbow plus I had to do a photo merge panorama to record the whole inner one. November 3, 2016.

Saguaro, Ocotillo, and Thrasher
A curved bill thrasher perches on a branch of a flowering ocotillo. I love it when the ocotillo's leaves turn yellow during the flowering in late March/early April. Ocotillo leaves appear and fall off a number of times during the year depending on when it rains.
